Engineer Ali Kharibat envisioned Horizon Hotel at a time when Basra was entering a new chapter of growth. In 2015, that vision took its first steps, with the ambition to create more than a hotel, but a destination that would reflect the character of Basra and its potential for the future.

From the beginning, the project was guided by a belief that hospitality is about more than the spaces we create. It is about how people feel within them, welcomed, respected, comfortable, and cared for.
